The basic activity is the growth, reproduction and selection of web-footed bird breeding. The original biological material is represented by a collection of 11 breeds: 7 duck lines, 4 goose lines and the incubation of their eggs for the selection and preservation of the unique genetic fund of Romanian web-footed birds.

PekinPEKIN – The Pekin white races are reared for meat and feathers.
Males have a body weight of 3.5 kg and females of 3 kg; by fattening they can reach 4-5 kg; the growth rate of young birds is very intense; the egg production is 80-120 pcs. annually; the egg weight is 70-90 grams; eggs have white peel.

Khaki CampbellKAKI CAMPBELL – The most widespread variety is khaki, also known as Kaki Campbell. The body weight of adults: male 2-2.5 kg and female 2.2-2.75 kg.
Productive attributes: large number of eggs, at least 140, 180-220 eggs on average, 65-70g in weight and white, sometimes greenish bark in colour. The Campbell breed is an early breed, with laying starting at 5-6 months old, sometimes even earlier. Eggs give good results to hatching, as they have good fecundity and hatchability.

BarbarieLEASCA OR BARBARIE – It is native to South America where it is an important bird for the production of meat and fatty liver. The body weight of females is 2-3 kg, and of males 5-6 kg.
The birds have red meat with a low fat content (2% abdominal fat). The Barbaria duck is also regarded as a “poor duck”. Sexual dimorphism is developed. Late sexual maturity: 26-28 weeks in females and 28-30 weeks in males.
Egg production is 40-60 eggs, white to yellowish, 70-85 g in weight.

INDIANA RUNNERINDIANA RUNNER – It is the most widespread breeding stock in the world.
Body weight: 1.4-2 kg (female), 1,6-2,2 kg (male).
It is a good egg producer: 170-180 eggs a year, weighing 65-80 g. The breed is very good for egg production.

ToulouseTOULOUSE – Originates in France where it is the most widespread breed. They reach 9-12 kg alive at selling time. Birds of sows are even heavier.
In France, the Toulouse geese are mainly grown for fatty liver production.
The number of eggs per year ranges between 20 and 30.
The Toulouse geese can be used for amelioration, especially as fathers, to transmit the growth rate and the ability to produce fatty liver.

EmdenEMDEN – It originates in northern Germany. It is a large and heavy breed with meat resources. The plumage is white.
It is adapted to colder regions.
The number of eggs per year is between 30 and 40.
Geese have good maternal instinct.
The gander reach up to 10 kg and the geese at 9 kg.
It is an appreciated breed for meat and liver production.

CHINESE CHESTNUTSCHINESE CHESTNUTS – It originates in northern China.
It is known as the Asian Goose or Hong Kong, called the Leseasca Goose in Romania.
The chestnut variety has dark gray plumage, dark beak and caruncle, orange legs, dark eyes.
Body weight is 5-6 kg in males and 4-5 kg in females.
Egg production is 70-80 per year, weighing 140-180 g.
In Romania they can be found in Moldova and Muntenia, and they are well adapted to environmental conditions.

CHINESE WHITECHINESE WHITE – It originates in northern China.
It is known as Asian goose or Hong Kong, and is called the Leseasca Goose in Rromania.
The white variety has white plumage, beak and orange caruncle, orange yellow legs, blue eyes.
Body weight is 5-6 kg in male and 4-5 kg in female.
Egg production is 70-80 per year, weighing 140-180 g.
In Romania they can be found in Moldova and Muntenia, and they are well adapted to environmental conditions.
